We are looking for a full-time IT technician with a background in IT support.

The candidate we require will be hard working, dedicated to friendly IT support, and professional with their approach, this is a customer facing role at times. ABM is a family business that has been operating for 25 years, we have high standards and so should you, no patch-it-and-go mentality. You must have a full driving license (no bans or above 3 points), great organisational skills and comfortable with taking phone calls. Normal working hours with us are 9:00 - 5:30, however flexibility is required as out of hours work and weekend cover is necessary at times. Salary for this position is negotiable based on experience and our specifications listed below.
Competent with Microsoft Operating Systems (advanced troubleshooting, installations, rebuilds)
Cloud services (specifically Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suites (2016 / 2019 / 2021 / 365)
Microsoft Server Editions (2012/16/19/22, including Domains, Active Directory, Group Policy and Server Permissions)
Essential skills in Microsoft Exchange (on-prem) and Exchange Online (365)
Microsoft Hyper-V (memory, processor, disk and resource allocation)
Understanding of networking topology (IP addressing and Subnets, vLAN’s, diagnosing, fault finding DNS / DHCP)
Able to configure router equipment, switches and wireless access points (Draytek would be advantageous)
Experience with Cyber Security (Cyber Essentials certification)
Capable of hardware / software maintenance of computers / laptop (virus and malware cleansing, hardware disassembly)

We are looking for a full-time apprentice to train to become a qualified IT technician. The candidate will already have a keen interest in all things technology, and will demonstrate some projects / IT problem solving they have already completed in their own time. The candidate must have a full driving license, or prove they are attempting to pass their test as they will be required to travel to our office in Temple Bar Business Park, Chichester efficiently.
We are looking for either:
> Someone already studying IT, but would prefer an apprenticeship
> An individual who is sure they want to qualify in IT via an apprenticeship
There is an exciting opportunity for you to train as an IT support technician through an apprenticeship program with us. It is the perfect way to gain both a qualification and experience in your field. You must have C's (equivalent) in both English and Maths. You will be shadowing our IT manager Dave and our successful previous apprentice (now fully qualified IT support technician) Zack. There will be times where you will simply be observing and taking notes. Whilst other days will include more hands on tasks.
