With Windows10 becoming end of life our client required PC/laptop upgrades to facilitate the recommend Windows11 migration.
It was reported to the client that there were several machines in their office that were not capable of upgrading to Windows 11. Other machines were able to be updated to Windows 11 but had only 8GB of RAM. Due to Windows 11 tending to be quite RAM “hungry” it is recommended that the hardware have a minimum of 16Gb. The machines unable to upgrade were replaced, and the machines that could be updated to Windows 11 were upgraded to have 16Gb RAM.
Improved security provided with Windows 11 on their machines gives the users peace of mind. The hardware replacement has allowed employees to experience a higher rate of productivity, they have had less technical issues, which has reduced support costs, and tasks are completed in a faster timescale. The upgraded machines also saw benefits of faster speed, due to less load on other components and better multi-tasking abilities with the increased RAM.
