About our Client

Established in 1964, our client has been designing and manufacturing polymer engineered products for the naval and civilian shipping industry, oil and gas and traction industries.

Through clear consultation with their customers at the design and ship layout phases, and once individual details of specific configurations are known, they are able to advise manufacturing tolerances to individual installations, and have their own in-house design facility allowing their technical staff to design and develop new products.

Their customer requirements for hand built products has ensured that they continue to focus on research and development to enable the product to meet their service expectations.

Our Clients Requirement

The client was moving to a new building and required termination of new network cables being installed. A new server rack setup with all equipment moved from the old site. And updates to DNS configuration for new Internet connections.

Our Solution

We had 120 CAT 6 network cables installed, these were to be terminated and installed into the server rack before the equipment from the old site is installed.

The move was designed to take place after the network cables are installed and take place over one day to minimise down time for the client. Once the system is running, DNS configuration updates would take place.

The Outcome

The move completed without any problems and all equipment installed, connected and running in the new location.

The new network cables where all terminated and connected into patch panels and into the switches to provide full high speed Gigabit Ethernet throughout the whole building with direct links back to the servers.

DNS changes updated and minimal downtime was experience for the client.
